L4-Bible Only Textbook
Why do we settle with other textbooks of any kind when we already have the best textbook available to us: The Holy Bible.
- Pastor Mary -
- Many people say that they don't understand the Bible and need help. The reason they don't understand is because they did not read the Bible. They have read lots of other books written about the Bible instead of reading the Bible over and over. Anyone who reads the Bible as much as they read other books will have no problem of understanding the Bible.
- In every church pastor's office there are hundreds or thousands of books on the bookshelves. I asked many pastors if they read them all and they all said that they read most of them. I said, "If you could read the Bible that much..."
- If your major is mathematics, you study mathematics. You neither study about mathematicians nor the philosophy behind mathematics. Bible Colleges should teach the Bible, not books written about the Bible. For example: If they want to teach the Book of Isaiah, they should teach "Isaiah" directly from the Book of Isaiah instead of using many books written about the Book of Isaiah; and they should give reading assignments directly from the Book of Isaiah instead of making students to read so many useless books.
- I don't understand why most Christians say that they don't understand the Bible without reading other books explaining about it. The Bible is written so elementary school children can read and understand it.
- One single simple reason people don't understand the Bible is that they do not read it. They waste lots of time by reading many books while understanding very little. They never have a chance to understand the whole Bible which provides multiple meanings even in one verse, woven together with thousands of other verses.
- Even that very little understanding is mixed with much misunderstandings, wrong understandings, incomplete understandings, the opposite than the whole truth, etc. Because they read the books which are written by the authors who are no different than the readers. The authors were, are, and will be, the readers of the books written about the Bible, because they did not understand the Bible, and they became teachers of who don't understand the Bible without reading the books written about the Bible which are written by people who did not understand the Bible without reading the Books written about the Bible.... I can make this sentence go on forever... ever... and ever...
- Christians should read the Bible hundreds of times instead of reading the books written about the Bible hundreds of times. You will have a thousand times better understanding, knowledge, and bear fruits of salvation of the lost sinners by reading and reading and reading the Bible. "Reading books people" are like 1x1x1x1x1x1x1=1 forever. They forever circle around their own hinges, and end up nowhere, accomplish nothing, and bear no fruit of salvation. They say, "Not all Christians are called to preach the Gospel."
- I understand if a pastor says that he does not have time to read the Bible and does not have time to read the books written about the Bible also. When they get to heaven, God will ask, "How many times did you finish reading My Bible?" He will answer proudly, "50 times, Lord. I finished the whole Bible once a year for fifty years." "How many books did you finish reading books other than the Bible while you were pastoring My people? " The pastor proudly answers, "About 2,500 Christian books, Lord." "Don't you think the numbers should be reversed?" "No, Lord. I did not understand the Bible by reading it alone." God sighs... and He never will stop sighing...
- A Korean pastor said, "Every Bible College students should finish reading the Bible at least 100 times before they graduate." An American pastor finished reading the whole New Testament every week. A pastor of a prayer center finished reading the whole Bible once every two months. A member of a church finished reading the Bible more than one hundred times. Pastor Mary used to finish reading the whole Bible once a month for about 5 years up to about 60 times, (did not read the Bible for many years), and has started to finish reading the OT once, the NT 3 times, and Revelation 16 times every month again. None of them have supernatural intelligence to understand the Bible more than other average Christians would if they did the same thing. Nor do they have any lack of understanding the Bible by just reading the Bible. Why? Because they don't read the books written by the people to understand the Bible. They read the Bible directly to understand the Bible. The only differences they have is that they found the secret which is to just read and read and read and question later, and look for the answers from the Bible, from the places where they did not read yet. Their common desires are: hungry and thirsty for God's Words; and they wanted to have the knowledge from the Pure and Perfect Word of God; and they will read more Bible and more Bible rather than wasting their time by reading books written by human beings with much errors.
- Specially, in Bible Colleges, it will be very strange if they do not use the Bible as the only Textbook. It is equally strange if the students think that they have to study the books written about the Bible rather than studying the Bible alone and directly. Those teachers and students alikely say, "Healing is not for nowadays." It will be extremely strange if the Bible College teachers and the students persecute those who read the Bible a lot. Because they don't understand the Bible, they think no one should understand the Bible without taught by them who don't understand the Bible. If they are right, why there are so many Christian denominations? Jesus Christ did not make the denominations. Scholars did. Bible scholars do not read the Bible over and over and over. They persecute Christians who read the Bible only and do not read the books written by them with much errors.
- Bible Colleges should teach THE BIBLE. Bible College students should learn THE BIBLE. If the students cannot understand the Bible by just reading it, they should start from Bible Elementary School. Understanding the Bible should be the pre-requisites for the Bible College level students.
- Finally, how much do we have to read the Bible everyday? As an average Christians, to be healthy and have a victorious daily life, 20 chapters daily will be a good portion. It takes about 1 hour to just read through 20 chapters daily. Reading 20 chapters daily will give you 100-1,000 times more understanding of the Bible than reading 100 books written about the Bible in the same given time. (100 x 100 = 10,000 times more powerful.)
- The amount of reading the Word of God should exceed all other information you get from other sources. Reading the Bible (20 chapters=1 hour) should be greater than the total time of watching TV, reading the newspaper, and other books, etc. Praying should exceed your conversation time with other people. Preaching the Gospel, etc, should exceed any fun activities, and going to extreme, exceed your full time work. Is it too much? Not as much as required by God in the Bible. God wants you for 24 hours and I say only a very small portion of that. So, all of you should complain and accuse JBC of being an extremely lukewarm Christian Bible College making its students to read the Bible too little: 20 chapters daily. Instead, many Christians say how legalistic JBC is to make it's students read the Bible too much (20 chapters). Is 20 chapters too little or too much for you? JBC welcomes and honors those who accuse JBC students read the Bible too little: only 20 chapters daily. You being a complainer and welcomed by JBC at the same time is a good news.
- Jesus Bible College does not put more burden on its students than what an average Christians should carry daily: 20 chapters per day. Especially when JBC students are not required to read any other books, students should all complain, "Reading only 20 chapters a day is too little! We don't want a cheap degree! Let us read 60 chapters per day!" The good news is that about 30% of the students chose to read 60 chapters a day. Praise the Lord.
- JBC will give assignments which you can do directly from the Bible only. We will have less than 1% of the teachings from non-Bible books: like Church history after the Book of Acts until now.
- JBC gives credits for reading the Bible and praying which no other Bible College gives. You can earn 5 credits per quarter by just reading 20 chapters of the Bible and praying accordingly. Those who read more than 20 chapters daily will get extra credits. Everything we study, teach, learn, do projects, etc, are center around the Bible and directly from the Bible - unlike other Bible Colleges using hundreds of useless books with much errors.
- We offer the Trial Period quarter for you to develop the habit of reading the Bible before you actually enroll in your first class so that you can keep up with other students.
- Those who are not able to read the required daily 20 chapters can take less demanding classes like spiritual high school GED or Fun Degree classes, etc. No matter how little you study with JBC, you will learn the Bible from JBC more than any other colleges within the same given hours you will spend to study the Word of God.
Jesus loves you. 1-30-2010 Pastor Mary
